this purchase was a great investment. I find it very useful and re-pressurizing the tennis balls and it has saved me a great deal of money on purchasing new balls.
I know that loosing up to 3psi is normal but 6psi consistently?
This is my second Pressure Refresher. The first one worked so well I decided to get another one. It's quick and easy to load up and pressurize and really does give tennis balls the longevity they deserve.
One thing is indisputable - The craftmanship of this product is impeccable. It is strong, and the few external parts are brass of otherwise well made and assembled. The keg absolutely holds pressure. You could pressurize your balls to 30+ psi comfortably - the keg is very strong. I am skeptical you could bring back to life very dead (soft) balls. Unless probably over the span of more than 2 weeks, raising the pressure gradually, starting from 15 psi. I pressurize a mix of borderline soft and a few dead balls to 25 psi. I am almost certain I hear the dead balls popping up in the keg when releasing the pressure. They very likely collapse and I don't see them recovering. There is no argument the rest of the balls do recover. They feel firmer and bounce better. I assume the large pressure range and the structural considerations dictate the small lid, but it means you get the balls in and out on-by-one. The best strategy then would be to have one set of balls cooking in the keg for 1-2 weeks while practicing with another set, and swapping the two sets every 1-2 weeks. Otherwise, you may find it inconvenient pressurize/decompress the keg once a day, and getting the balls in/out one-by-one, every day.
Pressurization does work but choose which balls you reuse. Although the ball may bounce the same amount as a new ball, the feel when you hit the ball is noticeably different.
This is my second one. With two 60 ball units I can keep about 100 balls fresh and ready.
Only negative is the opening is a little small for my hand and design not conducive to easily dumping balls out. I have to reach in one at a time.
Using the refresher to maintain my practice balls. After a couple of weeks of training a few times a week, the balls have really held their pressure like new. I’m using an air compressor in my garage. Considering ordering a second unit.
I tried to make my own pressure chamber for tennis balls, but I never could get it to stop leaking. It would go from 20 PSI to near zero in about 10 days. I've had my 30 Ball Pressure Refresher at 20 PSI for about 12 days so far, the gauge has not budged. Because of my age, I'm playing pickle ball more frequently, (I hate it) but I still play tennis occasionally and that's why this pressure chamber is a good solution for a more intermittent player.
Very well built, I'll be ordering more!
We got 2 of the 60-ball units to keep balls fresh for our tennis ball machine. We use our ball machine about 2 hours a day. These kegs work wonders for this purpose. We can now use the balls until the fuzz is gone and avoid chucking so many balls into our landfills. And our interactions with the owner was extremely pleasant. He just exudes integrity and kindness. We will recommend Pressure Refresher to all of our friends and family. More people need to use this wonderful product.
It really works. The dead balls have a new life and it's so easy to do. There
was hardly any loss in pressure even after 10 days. I'm very pleased with
the quality of the container and may go ahead and buy the 60-Ball Unit as
well.
This is the most useful product for tennis. I am a teaching pro which means when you can't, teach. I have not purchased tennis balls and have saved the cost of purchasing 60 balls every two weeks for the last 3 years. I have saved 4000 dollars at least. This is my net savings after the cost of the system. There is no reason to not buy this product.
I teach tennis at my house. My students leave their old used balls. I have not purchased tennis balls since I bought 2 units, each one holds 60 balls. I bought the units in May 2021. The unit works so well that I have an emotional problem getting rid of the tennis balls that are pretty much bald. I finally got rid of around 300 balls that were perfectly good in terms of bounce. It took me 3 years to finally do this. I still have balls that have lots of felt waiting for a treatment. This is the best tennis investment I have ever made. Balls are ridiculously expensive now, so you must have this product. It will save you gobs of money, and it has no parts that break.
A really good company to deal with, and the order / shipping process was both easy and quick. Regarding the “pressure refresher” performance. - I have not used it long enough to provide useful information .
I purchased the pressure refresher shortly after getting my first personal ball machine. With a ball machine there is three options from what I have seen, spend tons of money on new balls, use pressureless balls, or re-pressurize your balls. I tried them each in that order. The amount of waste and money on the new balls was unstainable, the pressurless balls DO NOT feel like normal tennis balls, but the pressure refresher is a total winner. I have been re-pressurizing balls for three weeks now and it was a bit of a learning curve figuring out how long to pressurize them for. I started with a batch of very very old balls and decided to leave them in the refresher for 5 days. They came out bouncing like moon balls and sounded like a basketball when they bounced. However when I put them in the ball machine at full speed / full topspin it was one of the best workouts I had had with a ball machine. However, this is not ideal for play. Now regardless of how dead the balls are I never leave them in for more than 2.5 days. They work great for the ball machine or doing drop and hit drills. Now I only have to get rid of balls when they lose all their fuzz. On top of this Dave was a great point of contact when going through the decision to buy this. I am trying to convince my tennis club to buy these so we stop wasting so many balls there now. Any tennis player / coach that spends more than a couple days a week on court need this.
Got the 60 ball pressurizer. Works like a charm. I use a ball machine, and after several weeks of rain and no use, the 60 balls would not be useable after maybe one or two uses. Now...no problem. I just stash them in the pressurizer, pump it up, and they are fresh for the next use after a stint in the pressurizer. Perfect...and easy to use as well.
My tennis ball refresher works great. I haven’t tried to pressurize any old balls yet. I have used to maintain pressure on new balls. So far it seems to be working excellent. I pressurize it to 20psi, and the container never dropped pressure for an entire week. Balls seem just like new. We will know for sure with a couple more weeks on how long the balls will remain pressurized.
I took 60 old padel balls that were stashed in my garage over the last 18 months and set them to recharge. I have only used the first 6 so far and am thrilled with the recovery.
We play once or twice a week but like to have a lot of balls to use so we don't have to keep stopping to pick them up. The pressure refresher has restored the bounce in them and keeps them good until the surface wears out. We estimate it will pay for itself in about a year. For use its a good ROI.
Works well!! Different balls will require you to repressurize at different PSI. For example, I was able to bring some new "Costco Penns" back to life. For those that don't know, new balls still in the can, go flat over time. Often times the balls you buy at Costco are flat when you open them. These required very high pressure. I had them at 35 PSI for a few weeks, then 40 PSI, and finally 45 PSI. They bounce like new balls should. Other balls that were bouncing fine out of the can won't require that much pressure. Probably closer to 30 PSI. I now grab any ball I see on the court that people leave and put them into my Pressure Refresher so I always have a supply of good "practice balls". Thanks.
Fast shipment, just like Amazon prime, it only took 2 days to arrive. I am very happy with the item.
After 10 days in the refresher, we’re getting tons of bounce from our two month old, foremerly flat tennis balls! Could not be happier. We went out to hit today with a hopper full of re-pressurized balls and were blown away. My wife even called her coach over from the next court so he could give’em a test. Great concept, excellent execution. I’m impressed.
I bought two of them. Fantastic product. Holds pressure and doesn't leak. I can fill it easily and it absolutely keeps my tennis balls fresh. I teach tennis. This will help my students hit with new feeling bounce every lesson and will save me alot on buying new balls every two weeks.
